In My Own Words was written to help others overcome obstacles and embrace barriers. Barriers will always come but we must learn to embrace them. Success exists at the top of a mountain. While success means something different to everyone, we all must face obstacles that can prevent us from reaching the top of our mountains. Unfortunately, I faced many of my struggles as a child. However, I know that how I define success – the top of my mountain – will be shaped by what I have already experienced. I began climbing my mountain here in New Orleans where my family is born & raised.
